We’re inspired by…

Vanessa Bell, an English artist, interior designer and member of the famous circle of friends known as the Bloomsbury group. Her artistic talents knew no bounds and her creative flair translated beautifully to ceramics, textiles and furniture that she designed for the well-known Omega Workshop.

The Glade

Sketch_CQ1sketchCQ2sketchCQ3

Sketch in the heart of central London is home to the Glade, a room for afternoon teas and cocktails. It was transformed into a wonderful enchanted forest by artistic duo Carolyn Quartermaine and Didier Mahieu.

A glade-like scene was decoupaged to the walls and the room is adorned with curtains, cushions and upholstery in Quartermaine’s hand screen-printed fabrics.

EDIT has been a long time fan of Carolyn Quartermaine and we recommend a visit to the Glade next time you’re in London.

Jeremiah Goodman

Jeremiah Goodman’s lush, moody renderings of interior spaces have been a long time favourite of EDITs.

His work, spanning decades, was seen in the editorial pages of magazines such as Harper’s Bazaar and Vogue and in the 195os as cover artist for Interior Design.

Jeremiah found himself in the homes of the rich and famous from Elsa Schiaparelli and Yves Saint Laurent to Diana Vreeland creating a rich visual history of the decor of the times and an insight into the personalities of the owners.

Goodmans artworks look as modern today as when they were first painted.

Linda

Linda Rodin is the chic founder of lust-have beauty brand RODIN olio lusso.

We stumbled across this shoot featured in Grey Magazine and just had to share it with you.

We simply adore her style and she’s dressed in Dries Van Noten and 3.1 Phillip Lim, two of our favourite designers.
